The Living Testament
Anyone who listens to the show knows that I'm a big Dungeons and Dragons fan, as well as an avid churchgoer. When I was asked to become a Sunday school teacher I found it difficult to engage the children. I then decided to try something a bit different. I combined two important aspects of my life. I wrote a short adventure based on the 5e ruleset and ran it for the kids, and it was a HIT! They had a blast. It became a fun and exciting class for both me and them. And most importantly, they learned and remembered the stories. With encouragement from family and my pastor, I brought it to life for others to try and bring the same fun and engaging experience to their Sunday school class. While the adventures are a bit more simplified, but it's designed to be easily engaging for both the GM and the players.
The Living Testament is a 5th Edition roleplaying game that drops the players right into the story. Walk alongside the Magi as they follow the star of Jacob. Protect them from wild beasts, sabotage King Herod’s plans, and fend off his army while Mary and Joseph escape with baby Jesus.
