Slime Cave of Norwal - Free Adventure
Greetings! This short adventure was written by the fantastic James Introcaso for Jeff Steven's 5E Kickstarter Adventures from the Potbellied Kobold - a collection of short 5E adventures
written by some of the RPG industry’s top talent. The adventure is designed to use the basic set creatures, as well as creatures from Kobold Press’s Tome of Beasts and Creature Codex. If you don’t have the Kobold Press books, don't worry, you’ll still be able to run the adventures.
The Potbellied Kobold has many adventures for your party, some of which may help cure her condition. You see, she wasn’t always a potbellied kobold. Her original gnome form was cursed and now she must live out her life as a kobold, confined to stay within 30 feet of her covered wagon.
The Slime Cave of Norwal - Get it Free Here!
The farm village Norwal attracts a few tourists annually with the ruins of Orthive’s tower and the famous Slime Cave. The ruins are just the foundation of the semi-famous conjurer’s tower that blew up in a mysterious accident. The river that cuts through Slime Cave flows with glowing sludge that gives the caverns an eerie glow.
Anthla Tremal leads the Cult of Slugidor, the ancient deity of oozes. She brought the cult to the caves five days ago after learning Orthive’s tower was destroyed when the now-deceased wizard tried to summon Slugidor. The cult found the basement of Orthive’s tower connected to the caves and captured and questioned Orthive’s ghost. According to Orthive, the cult needs a “worthy sacrifice” to offer the demon lord. Anthla sends the minor oozes created in the slime to terrorize the people of Norwal, hoping heroes track the monsters back to Slime Cave
The book contains fantastic writing, gorgeous art, and magnificent maps. The adventures can be used as one-shots for when you have little time to prepare, as a starting point for a larger campaign, as inspiration for your own adventures, or as a longer campaign (they provide suggestions on how to link several of the adventures together).
Anyone who has listened to the show, knows we are HUGE fans of Jeff's work. If you enjoy this adventure please take a moment to leave a tip and review and consider supporting his Kickstarter.
