Racial Feats
Listen to Episode 28: Racial Feats Now!
Crit Academy covers the playtest material Unearthed Arcana: Racial Feats. These feats all have prerequisites of a specific race. Since this episodes recording, the Xanathar's Guide to Everything has been released, and includes the finalized feats, though some weren't changed much, while others were changed drastically. You can still use these concepts in your home game, or use them to inspire your own Dungeons and Dragons creations.

Dungeon Master Tip: Listener Chad Christie: Remnant Roll!
If you live near a local newspaper you can stop by and get a Remnant roll. It’s a roll of newspaper that’s to small for the next run but usually about two and a half foot wide and….free.
He uses it to cover his gaming table. Has it on a spool. Anyone can right right on it. DM for maps, players for short notes, damage taken, player strategies, place to solve puzzles.
Player Tip: Don’t Be a Dick! You can avoid dickitude by...
Accept Limits
Many DM’s place restrictions on character options as part of their own unique campaign setting; Spells, races, feats, classes. Before you become committed to a character concept, be sure it doesn’t conflict with any limitations set in place.
Rather than bitch and complain, use it as an opportunity to challenge your preconceptions about various combinations. You might find it spurs your creativity. This also allows for players to explore elements they may not often experience.
If you don’t like the restrictions set, negotiate for the elements that matter most.
